Several databases. How often do you make the same change?
Many organizations work with several Business Central databases, per country, region or subsidiary. Without central setup, you manage organization roles, templates and approval settings in each database separately. That takes time, and each database slowly goes its own way.

How it works
Central Management is a module of the Authorization Box. You define the structure once; after that, you manage everything from the parent.
1. Assign the parent
The application manager marks one database connection as the parent in the general setup of the Authorization Box.
2. Link the children
Through Central Management in the parent, you link the databases that can become a child.
3. Assign organization charts
Choose per organization chart whether it applies to all children or only to specific children.

Central Management is a separate module on top of the Authorization Box. Only the application manager can assign a database as the parent.
In a child you can only view
The setup in a child database is view only. You always make changes in the parent.
Conditions for a child
A database can become a child when it has no organization structure of its own yet and is not a parent itself.
